Victorious to End with Season 3

So… I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that Victorious has not been picked up for a 4th season.

Creator and executive producer Dan Schnieder explains:

Hey guys! If I misspell anything in this post, please forgive me – I’m in the back seat of a car, typing on my phone!

Okay, first things first…

There is a whole NEW season of Victorious coming your way. We just finished shooting 15 new episodes, and they’re amazing. If you love Victorious, I feel sure you will love the NEW episodes coming!

By now, a lot of you have heard that Victorious will not be returning for a 4th season. That is true. This was the network’s decision – not mine.

Please understand: Almost all Nickelodeon shows have a life of about 60 episodes. We made around 60 episodes of Drake & Josh… of Zoey 101… and we made 41 episodes of The Amanda Show… and all those shows were big hits.

So, it’s not unusual for a Nick show to do a run of just 60 episodes. I would love to have made more than 60 of Victorious, but that’s how it usually goes.

We’re extremely proud of the show, and all we’ve accomplished.

Also – and it’s really important that you know this – the network’s decision about Victorious had nothing to do with “Gibby” or “Sam & Cat”. I promise. Even if there was no “Gibby” and no “Sam & Cat” – the network still would have ended Victorious after its 60-episode run.

I know that some of you are upset and angry – and while I feel terrible about that, I’m also flattered by it. I really appreciate that you care so much. It means you love the show, which makes me feel very proud.

But I ask that you please not be angry with Victoria, or Leon, Liz, Ariana, Avan… or ANY of the Victorious cast members or staff. They all wanted Victorious to continue – so did I.

But remember! Stay psyched about the 15 new episodes of Victorious coming your way!

And I hope you’ll continue to support Victoria Justice, and me, and all the stars of Victorious. I can almost guarantee you – they will make a big impact on the future of entertainment.

And finally… of course… I will keep making the best, funniest TV shows I know how to make, for as long as people have fun watching them.

The good news is that we will most likey be seeing more of Ariana in the Cat & Sam spin off.

But still, I’ll miss the rest of the girl, and even the guys – Victorious is one of the best examples of an all around excelent ensamble cast that I have ever seen.

But ya know, that’s just how it goes, and three seasons is nothing to be ashmed of.

The cast is truly amazing! Each character adds an unique quality to the show that is not present in ANY of the sitcoms running through the teenage years. The music and performances by solo cast members, duets and groups are elements that take this show to a much higher level. Whereas in other shows, the “romantic” bug hooks up different characters from time to time, Victorious isn’t about the teenage romance. Instead it is really about how the creative side of teens “shines” in a variety of ways, such as their talent in acting/theater, creating a float for a parade, and most of all weaving in their musical talents. Each actor had a chance to display their musical/performing talents at one time or another. Many fans and unfortunately myself included can relate to Trina’s supposed “lack” of vocals. The “rooftop” concerts were awesome, the kareoke dokie songs were cool, and the world premier performance climaxed their talents. And what true fan has not been mezmerized, as Andre was, during the alluring and enchanting taping session of the gorgeous Jade!!!
There will never be another sitcom in the history of television that will assemble such a talented and gifted cast like this. Not only will their on stage performances remained captured on DVD but their musical talents will also be a big part of TV history. As a fan, it is unfortunate that the show has run its course. I wish I would have had a chance to meet Tori, Jade, Beck, Andre, Trina, and Robbie and congratulate them on a great sitcom but I’m a long ways from Hollywood!!! And how could anyone forget the adorable and bubbly little redhead Caterina Valentine!!!!

Yeah I read about the new spin-off with Cat & Sam & I was wondering how they were going to write Kat off from Victorious, now that’s answered.
Well Im loooking forward to the new show….from what I read Kat & Sam become roommates and start a babysitting business.

I’m glad it’s over. I never found it that funny, even though the cast was talented. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with it, but I’ve always wondered why they never had a blonde cast member on the show.

Such a shame. Victorious is such a fun show. And all the characters are very likable. Other than the canned audience cheers and the uber-AutoTuned vocal performances, I enjoyed (nearly) every episode.

Hasn’t iCarly been on for like ever? I guess I was hoping Victorious would become another exception to Nick’s 60-episode rule. Gonna miss it. I don’t give a crap about Gibby. And Sam and Cat? Sounds kinda silly to me, but we’ll see…

I wonder why Nick cancels so many of their programs at around 60 episodes. It isn’t like “Victorious” has overstayed its welcome. Maybe the network is following some financial model we don’t know about. You can bet this decision has something to do with money.

It was an entertaining show while it lasted, and I’m looking forward to watching the remaining episodes.

Victorious is arguably one of Nick’s most popular shows, and Victoria Justice is one of their hottest commodities. Ratings last year have tanked, but Nick has a lot to blame for that as they don’t have a regular and consistent schedule for these shows. Sometimes, it’ll take a month for a new episode of one of their shows to come out. I know that Nick is making a “Gibby” show, and they will also have “Sam and Cat,” but I cannot understand what compels them to cancel one of their most popular shows featuring so many Nickelodeon homegrown talent.

im 14 i loved nick. when drake and josh was on i was so excited then the amanda show i still watch on youtube then icarly i was happy watching of course i wanted seddie but . . then victorious i am a musician now jade was my favourite and arinna but now its like bucket and skinner its not even funny ! and alien surf girls whoopee doo. I want ICARLY and Victorious !
